Das vielfältige Angebot oberösterreichischer Galerien und Kunstvereine kann man auch dieses Jahr wieder beim Linzer Kunstsalon kennenlernen.
Nachdem der neue Präsentationsort im Linzer Schlossmuseum auf große Begeisterung stieß, findet der Kunstsalon dieses Jahr erneut im historischen Ambiente des Schlosses statt.
18 ausstellende Institutionen aus ganz Oberösterreich präsentieren die Qualität und Bandbreite des zeitgenössischen Kunstschaffens und laden
zum Kennenlernen der heimischen Kunstszene ein. Kunstinteressierten Besucher:innen bietet der Kunstsalon die einzigartige Gelegenheit,
einen konzentrierten Einblick in das aktuelle Kunstgeschehen in Oberösterreich und darüber hinaus zu erhalten. Zu Gast beim Kunstsalon ist in
diesem Jahr erstmals die Galerie Dumas aus Linz.

two locations, nine artists, one project: the group exhibition BEYOND SPACE combines different artistic positions who deal with the topic of ‚space‘ in a variety of individual approaches. What is space? Which poses procesess shape private and public spaces? And what is your relationship to them?

With BEYOND SPACE we extend and question the space and places in which we experience art.
The exhibition takes place simultaneously in two different locations: in our Meet Frida Artspace in Stilwerk Hamburg and in the soon be opend Stilwerk Berlin.

„On the Nature of Colour“ stellt die Arbeiten von Petra Gell (AT) und Katarzyna Przezwańska (PL) einander gegenüber. Die für die Ausstellung ausgewählten Werke sind in ihrer Form sehr unterschiedlich, aber sie sind durch ähnliche, von beiden Künstlerinnen verwendete Farben sowie durch eine charakteristische Analyse des Raums oder der Formen – im Fall von Petra Gell der Architektur, im Fall von Katarzyna Przezwańska der Natur – verbunden. Die Künstlerinnen arbeiten in einem anderen Maßstab und vor allem mit anderen Materialien. Die synthetischen Kunststoffe, aus denen Petras Installationen bestehen, werden mit den natürlichen Komponenten von Katarzynas Werken kontrastiert. Die Ausstellung hebt Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede hervor und ermöglicht so einen neuen Blick auf die Werke beider Künstlerinnen und eine genauere Betrachtung ihrer Werke und künstlerischen Praxis.

She co-founded the dialogue and networking format JOMO – Joy of Missing Out as well as C/20 – Association for International Curatorial Practice.

Lisz Hirn studied philosophy and singing in Graz, Paris, Vienna and Kathmandu. She works as a publicist and philosopher in youth and adult education, including on the „Philosophical Practice“ course at the University of Vienna under the direction of Konrad Paul Liessmann. She is the chairwoman of the Association for Practical Philosophy and on the board of the Society for Applied Philosophy (gap). Die Gruppenausstellung DRAFT in der Factory widmet sich Ausdrucksformen der Konzeption in der Architektur. Gezeigt werden 12 Positionen aus dem Bereich Architektur. 12 individuell befüllte Plexiglasboxen bilden zusammengefügt eine raumgreifende Installation. Lichtdurchlässig und partiell reflektierend verkörpert das Gesamtensemble die Flüchtigkeit der Konzeption, die erst durch die Transformation zur gebauten Realität wird.

THE GUEST HOUSE WINDOW

‚The space around – Was kann Raum und was macht er mit dir!‘ erforscht die Wiener Künstlerin Petra Gell.
Ihre Malereien sind geprägt von einer geometrisch abstrakten Formensprache, architektonischen Elementen und klarem Farbspektrum.
Die Installationen, bei denen oft industrielle Werkstoffe verwendet werden, entsprechen einem poetischem Arrangement und greifen Richtung Design.
Eine Ästhetik, die eine sensitive Leichtigkeit transportiert, bewegt, motiviert und Perspektiven öffnet.

Ausgangspunkt für die Installation am GUESTHOUSE WINDOW, war die Wahrnehmung und Erfahrbarkeit dieses spezifischen Ortes.
Das WINDOW fungiert als Bildträger und bietet als Zwischenraum ein direktes Spannungsverhältnis zwischen dem Innen- und Außenraum. Die Grenzen der Brasserie und der Terrasse werden ausgelotet und neu verhandelt.

Die in der Ausstellung Hide and Seek Show and Tell gezeigten Arbeiten spüren der Wechselwirkung von Raum und Bildraum, der Differenz zwischen realem, imaginiertem oder medial produziertem Bild nach. Sichtbarkeit und Entzug, Zeigen und Verbergen sind Strategien, die die Künstler_innen anwenden, um die Koordinaten zwischen realem Raum und Bildraum zu verschieben. Dabei spielt die Materialität von Wand, Boden, Stoff und Spiegel ebenso eine zentrale Rolle, wie die Materialität von Linien, Licht, Projektion und Animation.

The works shown in the exhibition Hide and Seek Show and Tell trace the reciprocity of space and pictorial space, the difference between real, imagined or media-produced image. Visibility and withdrawal, showing and hiding are strategies the artists use to shift the coordinates between real space and image space. The materiality of the wall, the floor, fabric and mirrors plays a central role, as does the materiality of lines, light, projection and animation.
